Bethnny Frankel is switching shows, but only temporarily. The 44-year-old former "Real Housewives of New York City" star will be making several guest appearances on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" in the upcoming season.

"Bethenny filmed a cameo this summer, when several 'RHOBH' cast members were in the Hamptons. Bethenny has a home there," a source told E! News. "She and Kyle Richards are old friends so it made sense for them to see each other."

The filming took place for several days, so Frankel is expected to appear in a few scenes. "Bethenny was Bethenny," a different source says of the reality star. "She was very direct with everyone. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind."

It's unclear if Frankel will appear in more than one episode, and details of her appearance are being kept very quiet. However, during her time on the show, she helps her good friend Kylie deal with everything going on in her sister Kim's life.

Frankel has really made a name for herself as not only a reality star, but a successful business woman with her line of Skinny Girl Cocktails. With so much going on in her life, she does admit that it isn't always easy. "I mean, every day I'm stressed," she said on MSNBC's "So Popular" earlier this week, according to Today. "I also think it's important to help woman, to grow and pay it forward so they can be business women. But I need to be honest with them about how difficult it is, because it is cutthroat now. And you have to be on top of it all the time, because somebody else is...I'm on it. I'm really, really on my game."
