Ben Affleck's acceptance speech for the Best Picture at the 85th Academy awards, Sunday, was all about thanking his wife Jennifer Garner for supporting him in every step of his success and marriage.
Actor-filmmaker Affleck got emotional while thanking his wife and kids during his acceptance speech after winning the biggest award of the night, Best Picture for his movie "Argo," at the 85th Academy awards, Sunday.
The biggest award of the night was announced by the first lady Michelle Obama from the White House.
"I thought I was like hallucinating, like a pink elephant was going to come in... Michelle Obama? Is she going to read it?" Affleck said. "She read it out and I was like, 'Does that mean I win? Or is that just the Michelle Obama Awards?'"
Praises for his wife didn't end with his acceptance speech. After the award, the couple made their way to the Governor's Ball, where Affleck continued to praise Garner. "All marriages, all relationships to a certain extent, require your work. They require work and investment," the Oscar winner told Access Hollywood.
They actor said that like all ordinary couples, neither of them are perfect nor is their relationship. However, they both work together to make it work.
"I would be lying to you if I said that either she or I were. She's more perfect than I am, I can tell you that," he continued. "We do our best. She's committed. She's as committed as I am. We work together, we have three great kids."
He joked about not knowing when he got to the place of having three kids but stated that his kids make him a proud father.
Affleck was also all praises for this year's host at the award ceremony, Seth MacFarlane, Ben gave the first-time host kudos for his work.
"Seth did great. I didn't know how he was going to do going in," Affleck told the tabloid. "[During the show,] I said to my wife, 'This guy is a really talented, talented guy.'"
