A student from the University of Connecticut was arrested after he had a confrontation with a food court manager at the campus' Union Street Market in Storrs Sunday evening.

Video footage of the incident shows the student, 19-year-old Luke Gatti, using a gay slur to the manager and saying: "Just give me some [expletive] bacon-jalapeno mac and cheese."

The manager then retaliated by telling Gatti, who was under the influence: "You can't come in here with an open bottle of booze, dude. Think about it!"

The response was met with more insults from Gatti, and after the student shoves the manager, another employee from the food court tackled him to the ground and held him until the police came to arrest him, according to the Huffington Post.

Gatti currently faces charges for disrupting peace and trespassing. The manager and the police revealed the student was denied service because he brought an open alcohol bottle with him.

As to whether or not Gatti will face any sanctions for the incident, University of Connecticut spokesperson Stephanie Reitz said: "Generally speaking, any UConn student found to have violated the provisions of the Student Code may face penalties imposed by the Division of Student Affairs that range from probation to expulsion."

Gatti, formerly a student at the University of Massachusetts, was previously charged for disorderly conduct twice and was accused of utilizing a racial slur in one of those arrests, according to the Associated Press.
