Obsessive 'One Direction' Fan Kills Pet Chihuahua After Band Fails To Respond To Her Tweets: Hoax or True?

An obsessive One Direction fan first threatened and then actually killed her pet Chihuahua after the boy band didn't respond to her tweet asking them to follow her on Twitter.

Obsessive fans doing crazy and weird things are not a new phenomenon. However, a young One Direction fan took her obsession a step further and actually indulged in murder! Well! Not of another human but her pet Chihuahua.

Two weeks ago, the fan who goes by the name "@illumivato", sent out a tweet to the British boy band asking them to follow her or she'd break her dog's neck. The tweet was accompanied by a picture that showed someone trying to throttle a small dog. After the band failed to respond to her tweet, the girl sent out another tweet that read, "I love you. Follow me. My dog has just died." The tweet was directly addressed to band member Liam Payne and was accompanied with another picture. The picture showed a girl cradling a dog and crying.

This is not the first time this fan, now labeled as a "psycho", has shared disturbing pictures on her Twitter account. Previously, she shared pictures of animals in blenders and a small child tied up.

Her actions received a lot of criticism from other "Directioners" who demanded that the account be suspended. Twitter obliged these fans' request and the account belonging to the "psycho" fan has now been deactivated.

One fan was so angry that she filed a petition on Change.org to ensure that the obsessive fan is punished for her actions. Mya Fhya has so far attracted more than 2,500 signatures to her cause.

"She has pictures of animals in blenders, a dog with guns up to its head, a picture of her strangling (what looks to be her mom) [...] basically implying that if she does not get more followers she will kill all of these beings," Fhya wrote.

The boy band is yet to comment on the incident but some reports suggest that the whole incident is a hoax. Allegedly, the pictures are not of the fan's real dog. The fan's name and location has not been revealed yet too.
