"Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D." confirmed on Friday that the show will adapt Marvel's "Secret Warriors" comic series into the third season.

The ABC show teased the upcoming plot line in an Instagram photo. Fans needed to adjust the filter to uncover the hidden mission, "SECRET WARRIORS," written under the S.H.I.E.L.D. symbol.

The Marvel TV show teased the "Secret Warriors" plot in another Instagram photo on Thursday with the same direction to lighten the filter. In a photo of Chloe Bennet dressed as her character Skye, a secret message behind her read, "CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET?"

Jonathan Hickman and Stefano Caselli wrote the "Secret Warriors" series that follows Daily Johnson (which Skye learned last season is her birth name) as she leads a sleeper team of super-powered peers, assembled by Nick Fury, called the Caterpillar initiative. In the season two finale of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Director Coulson handed Skye a blue folder that also read "Caterpillar" and gave her the assignment to head up a new sleeper team.

Last season further explored the Kree aliens and introduced the Inhumans, which Marvel plans to feature in their own movie by 2019. The season ended with hundreds of Terrigen crystals falling into the ocean, which will likely be exposed to a large percentage of the general population.

In season three, Coulson will continue his quest to seek new recruits for S.H.I.E.L.D. and more powered people to deal with threats never seen before in the world, according to Variety. The team will soon find out that they're not the only ones trying to track down new Inhumans.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will premiere its third season on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
