The love bug has bitten another Simpson's woman. Jessica and Ashlee Simpson's mom, Tina Simpson, is engaged to her gardener boyfriend Jon Goldstein, Us Weekly confirmed.

Tina took to Instagram to share the happy news with her followers, posting a photo of she and her husband-to-be hugging as she flashes her massive engagement ring. She captioned the snap, "He put a ring on it #intheclouds #gardener4life #loveofmylife."

"After 2 years of dating, Jon Goldstein and Tina Simpson are engaged. They are thrilled and completely in love!" the couple said in a statement released to Us Weekly.

Tina's fiancé is the owner of Johnny Appleseed Landscaping and his clients include the Simpson sisters, Tom Hanks, Mark Wahlberg and the Bel-Air hotel. Tina and Jon were first photographed together at Jessica's 2014 nuptials to Eric Johnson at San Ysidro Ranch.

"He's a really nice guy," one of his friends said. "He's always cared about Tina...He's known them for 15 years and has been a part of their family. He's so happy she said yes! I know he had been planning on asking her for a while."

Fortunately, Jessica and Ashlee approve of their future step-dad, a source tells Us Weekly. "They're happy their mom is happy."

Tina previously was married to Jessica and Ashlee's father Joe Simpson but filed for divorce from him in 2012 after 34 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in 2013. A representative for the former couple told E! News it was "an amicable split and there is no third party involved."
