Miley Cyrus auditioning for "Hannah Montana" is HNGN's Throwback Thursday selection for June 4. The actor-turned-singer was selected for the role and has gone on to a have a great career.
"I auditioned forever. At first they said I was too small and too young," Cyrus told USA Today prior to Disney showing "Hannah Montana" for the first time in 2006. "As soon as I step on that stage, nothing matters. I don't think of it as work. It's just so much fun."
The Disney Channel even picked her up before she was a full-on star.
"We saw a girl who has this natural ebullience," Disney Channel's president of entertainment, Gary Marsh, also told the newspaper. "She loves every minute of her life. It shows in her demeanor and performance."
Miley Cyrus played the role of "Hannah Montana" for the five years the show was on TV, 2006-2011, imdb.com reported.
