"Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada was seen in rare form during a clip from the new season of the reality show. As she spoke to her mother, Sylvia Ferrer, about her divorce from husband Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, she broke down in tears, People magazine reports.

Lozada, who is now divorced from the former NFL player, was seen discussing with her mom all the pain she went through with losing her husband and brother-in-law in the same week. A couple days after Lozada was treated for a "pretty good size" laceration following the incident of Johnson allegedly head-butting her, she lost her brother-in-law to cancer.

Anthony Ochoa, who was married to her sister, walked her down the aisle in her July 4 wedding to the professional athlete.

"It's just like the timing is crazy," Lozada says. "It's like two of my best friends just gone. Which feels f**ed up. You know?"

"Why is this happening to my life? That's my brother and then he dies right after the incident with me and Chad... Words can't even explain how dark I felt - like this can't be my life," she continues.

Her mother, also visibly shaken, tells her daughter that everything was going to be alright.

"It's going to hurt for a while, but you're going to bounce back- you always do," Ferrer said.

It's been almost since the incident. According to reports, Lozada was treated a hospital after Johnson allegedly head-butted her. The reality star was questioning her husband of three weeks about condoms she found in his car.

In another clip, it looks like the drama won't be far behind. Suzie and newcomer Tasha Marbury are seen laughing about the domestic violence incident and Lozada finds out.

"Basketball Wives" season five premieres Aug. 15 at 8 p.m. on VH1.
