Phoenix authorities have released the names of the victims and suspect who killed his two brothers, mother, sister-in-law and then himself on Thursday.

Police say 50-year-old Driss Diaeddinn, of Moroccan descent, was arguing with his brothers about the car service and restaurant businesses they owned before he open fired on them both inside their Phoenix home, according to the Associated Press.

"He had made some off-the-wall comments, at the time saying goodbye to people," police Sergeant Trent Crump said. "They didn't know what he was meaning at the time. But now in hindsight, they realize that he was just having some sort of a breakdown."

After fatally shooting his brothers- 56-year-old Dodi Fayed and 38-year-old Reda Diaeddinn- the shooter turned the gun on his mother, Kenza Benzakour, 76, as she came downstairs.

Driss Diaeddinn then made his way upstairs and killed his sister-in-law Meriem Ben Yahia, the AP reported.

During the shootings, Diaeddinn's wife and two children were able to escape the home. She called police and a SWAT team arrived and surrounded the home in preparation for a standoff.

But when police entered the home, Diaeddinn was already found dead upstairs from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police said his sister hid in the house during the shootings and later came out when police arrived, the AP reported. Her name and the name of Diaeddinn's wife have not been released.
