"Schindler's List" is going to be auctioned off on eBay Friday Night. No, not a copy of the popular Steven Speilberg movie but an actual list of Jewish people who were saved form the Nazis during the holocaust.

The New York Post reports two collectors from California, Gary Zimet and Eric Gazin, have put the list up for auction on eBay at 9:00 p.m. EDT. The bidding starts at a whopping $3 million. The historical document is one of four known copies of the list in the world. The move has sparked a lot of controversy online with many people believing it should have been given to a museum.

Unfortunately for collectors, the item is only available for local pickup and it's current location is in Israel, according to the listing.

We decided to sell the list on eBay because it has over 100 million worldwide members, and this is a global story," Gazin, who is also the president of AuctionCause.com told The Post. "There are billionaires using the site, wealthy celebrities. We like the platform."

The list itself was named after Oskar Schindler, a businessman from Germany who is credited with saving more than 1,000 Jewish refugees from the Nazis by getting them to believe they were essential workers for his enamel-works factories.

There were originally seven versions of the list but only four are believed to still be around today. Two are located in Yad Vashem, one in the Israeli Holocaust Memorial Museum and one in the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington.

"Don't miss your chance to own a piece of history that has inspired many on the difference one person can make in the face of great danger!" the auction site will read," the listing is reported to read when the auction finally happens on Friday night.
