The highly publicized movie "Liz & Dick" did not live up to the mark and Lindsay Lohan did not give her best as Elizabeth Taylor. Experts suggest Lohan take a break or take acting seriously if she wants to get things back on track as she has got the potential to act good.
According to MTV News reports, few experts had their word to help Lohan set things right.
"You keep hoping that she's going to get her act together, so does everyone in Hollywood. They keep rooting for her, and she blows it every time," lamented "Access Hollywood" film critic Scott Mantz told MTV News. "She's got more breaks from people in Hollywood than anyone in her position deserves to get but she does not give the impression of someone who really wants to get her career back on track. She should not be going out. She should be sitting home reading scripts and get her career back on track. She is not doing that."
Lohan's last major hit was "Mean Girls" which was in 2004. Since then Lohan did not have her luck in movies. News correspondents also said that Lohan must start small to show her potential as an actress and then go for something big as a comeback.
VH1 News' Kate Spencer told said, in a report published by MTV News: "I do think she has talent, but 'Liz & Dick' failed to showcase it and actually made me question it. 'Mean Girls' was great, but that movie is almost 10 years old and she can't continue to fall back on one awesome performance as proof that she can indeed act. I'd love to see how she does in something stripped-down and bare bones, where she's doing her own make-up on set and making next to no money," Spencer continued. "She insists she just wants to act, so it's time for Lindsay to take projects where she does just that."
It is very important Lohan gets hold of her personal life as she had many run-ins with law recently which has also affected her career. Mantz also suggests someone to support the actress can help her get through this. "She doesn't exude the persona of someone who is trying to bounce back. There is no way she should think about going to a club. What are you doing? Stop. All she needs is one strong person to keep her on straight and narrow - whether a family member, boyfriend, therapist, just somebody to cut her off," he told MTV news.
