The No. 3 Cavaliers concluded the regular season on a sour note, following a stunning 59-57 loss at Louisville. Virginia (28-2), the top seeded team in the ACC tournament, lost its one-point lead on Saturday with 2.7 seconds remaining and was unable to hit a go-ahead basket.

Fortunately for Virginia, junior guard Justin Anderson may be available for the tournament - possibly even as early as Thursday.

"I'm hopeful he's going to play if not the ACC tournament then the NCAA tournament," said Virginia coach Tony Bennett, via ESPN.

Anderson, who is averaging 13.4 points per game while shooting 48.4 percent from 3-point range, broke his finger on Feb. 7 and then underwent an appendectomy last Thursday, according to ESPN. Bennett wasn't shy about expressing how much the guard meant to the team, either.

"(Anderson) makes just a big play, whether it's a huge block or a big 3 that he's done for us or comes up with that hustle play that seems to ignite the team. He has that ability," Bennett said. "I think we missed that a little bit. I think the guys that have stepped in and filled in have done a great job."

Florida State, meanwhile, is on a two-game winning streak after Wednesday's win in its tournament-opener against Clemson. The Seminoles advanced after a 76-73 win, despite nearly giving up a 20-point lead in the final nine minutes.

"I'm not going to be concerned," said coach Leonard Hamilton. "I'm just glad we won and move on. That's the way the game of basketball is; it's a chess match."
