Corona Teacher Allegedly Has Oral Sex With Multiple Students; Being Held on $150,000 Bail

Summer Michelle Hansen, a teacher at Centennial High School, was arrested Thursday on multiple counts of unlawful sex with a minor and oral copulation of a minor, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The 31-year old Hansen is currently being held on $150,000 bail, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s office.

ABCLocal.com reports staff at the Centennial High School in Corona, California notified law enforcement of a possible relationship between Hansen and a student who previously went to the school.

"All teachers undergo a thorough background check prior to employment, including clearance from the FBI and Department of Justice," said Tom Pike, the Corona-Norco School District’s assistant superintendent.

Corona police have labeled other minors who are purported victims of Hansen’s acts. Authorities still believe some have yet to come forward or be identified.

Search warrants were issued in Corona and in Riverside County Thursday. Police say the investigation is ongoing.

This is the second teacher in California facing charges of unlawful sex with a minor in the past eight days.

Las week on in Simi Valley, California teacher Malia Brooks was taken into custody for allegedly having sex with a minor, according to NBC Los Angeles. Brook was a sixth-grade teacher at Garden Grove Elementary School.

She was charged with three counts of genital penetration with a foreign object with a person under age 14, one count of oral copulation of a person under age 14, and one count of committing a lewd act upon a child. According to authorities, it was believed she had only one victim.

Her alleged victim was a 14-year old boy who was a student at Garden Grove.
