Parents Of Murdered Law School Grad Want To Search Farm For Her Remains; 'We Can't Get Over Not Finding The Rest Of Her'

The parents of slain law school graduate Lauren Giddings have requested access to murder suspect Stephen McDaniel's family farmland to search for their daughter's remains according to Fox News.

The parents of the 27-year-old victim believe McDaniel harbored her parts on the farmland and is demanding an investigation in the form of a lawsuit. McDaniel was reportedly charged with killing and dismembering Giddings and smearing her blood on the walls of her apartment. He has pleaded not guilty.

The Telegraph reports the parents are accusing McDaniel's, who attended Mercer University with Giddings, of confessing to a former roommate in reference to conducting "the perfect murder" which included the dismemberment of a victim's body. He allegedly continued to "bragged to his roommate that he would never get caught."

According to The Telegraph, the $5 million lawsuit filed by Giddings' parents state McDaniel visited his family's farmland "the weekend before Giddings was killed" but investigators never searched the property.

"As far as I know, McDaniel has nothing and never will. We're just looking for information. It's just pretty frustrating for us not to get any answers. And it's been two years," Billy, Giddings' father, told The Telegraph. "We can't get over not finding the rest of her."

Fox News reports her torso was found in a trash bin near the scene of the crime but other parts of her body remain missing. McDaniel's attorney, Floyd Buford, claims to have not seen a copy of the lawsuit. He refused to comment on the lawsuit until he reviews it.

NBC's WMGT reports the amount requested by the parents of Giddings' is being sued for "is based on the economic value of [Giddings'] life, which includes money she would have made practicing as an attorney, but also the loss of her companionship, advice, and love."
