IGN has a first-look at Project TriForce's newest collectible, a full-scale replica of Batman's cowl based on the "Batman: Arkham Origins" video game...and it is quite impressive.

Made of polystone, the bat-reproduction's dimensions are 26" H x 23.5" W x 24.5" L and it weighs in at a hefty 35 lbs., so it is rather large. Batman is a larger-than-life personage in the game (and the comics, of course), so when getting a replica of his headpiece, it makes perfect sense that it would be just as impressive. The nicks and scratches on the cowl give it a realistically worn look... you can't duke it out with scores of crooks and not expect to get dinged up here and there. The glowing face underneath the cowl is a very nice touch, and it looks super cool, as well.

The base is a work of art in and of itself.  The design of it is modeled after the Batcave, which has metal flood-lights and computer, LED screens that light up.

This is an officially licensed product that is limited to only 500 pieces. Now here's the kicker: The "Batman: Arkham Origins" cowl bust will run you in the neighborhood of $850, which is rather expensive. Truth be told, this is a really cool piece for sure, but I don't think it $850 worth of cool.

Interested parties with $850 burning a hole in their pockets can pre-order it over at TriForce's website.
