What will happen and what should happen are two very, very different things. The characters you love and support in "Game of Thrones" should come out on top, but over the course of four seasons we've sadly learned that is not always the case.

In the NFL, some moves just make sense. But just because something looks good on paper doesn't mean it is necessarily realistic.

Regardless, here are three offseason moves that should happen.

1. The Chicago Bears should trade Jay Cutler

We're six seasons into Cutler's Chicago tenure and the Bears are no closer to a Super Bowl than they were when they acquired him in 2009.The team has finished above .500 just two times in that span and Cutler has thrown 89 interceptions in 79 career games with the Bears.  Chicago has badly underachieved with Cutler under center considering all of the talent that has surrounded him on offense in Chicago. Maybe it's time to admit that Cutler isn't a playoff caliber signal-caller and reboot with someone else. The team has lost four of its last six, after all. Plus, trading Cutler during the offseason would save the Bears roughly $12.5 million in salary cap space next year.

Are we ready to enter the journeyman phase of Cutler's career?

2. The St. Louis Rams should trade up for a QB in the 2015 Draft

I wrote about the Rams being just a quarterback away from contention recently. I stand by that statement. The team's front seven is loaded with high draft picks and talented youth. Tre Mason is emerging as an explosive dual threat in the backfield. And while Kenny Britt, Tavon Austin, Brian Quick and Stedman Bailey aren't exactly setting receiving records, a quarterback could do a lot worse (cough, Oakland, cough).

If the draft were held tomorrow, St. Louis would hold the 12th overall pick, making it difficult for them to hop into the top five. But if they fell in love with Oregon's Marcus Mariota or Florida State's Jameis Winston, a move could be possible. The Raiders and the Jaguars both spent early picks on quarterbacks last season and could be open to moving down for more draft ammunition.

A top QB prospect could be just the thing the Rams need to break the mediocrity mold.

3. The Kansas City Chiefs should sign Randall Cobb in free agency

Jeremy Maclin makes more sense because of his ties to head coach Andy Reid, but it's unlikely that Philadelphia will let Maclin walk. As such, the Chiefs could open up roughly $8.5 million in cap space if they release the disappointing receiving duo of Dwayne Bowe and Donnie Avery. That number could rise if pass-rusher Tamba Hali heads out of town after this season.

The Chiefs rank just 24th in the NFL in reception touchdowns this year. What better cure for that than adding the league's second leading wide receiver in that department? Cobb has 10 scores this season to go along with 65 catches overall for 922 yards. He's one of the best inside receivers in the game and has explosive capabilities as a return man as well.

Cobb is the dynamic receiving threat Kansas City has been missing for years.
