The scandal surrounding the cast of TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" continues to get messier and messier. Last week, news broke that matriarch Mama June was allegedly dating 53-year-old Mark McDaniel, who was released from prison in March after serving 10 years for molesting a child.

TLC quickly cancelled the show and said that it wouldn't air the already-filmed new season. That news was followed by another bombshell revelation: the child McDaniel was accused of molesting is Mama June's daughter.

According to TMZ, Anna Cardwell, now 20, came forward and alleged that McDaniel sexually abused her when she was 8-years-old. Now a new report claims that Mama June could be in jeopardy of losing her kids.

A spokesperson for child services in Georgia, where the family lives, told People magazine that someone may look into the case to see if Mama June's children are safe.

"Generally speaking, when we receive a report that children are living around a sex offender... it would certainly rise to the level of concern of us looking into it," said Susan Boatwright of Georgia's Division of Family and Child Services.

Still living at home as minors are Mama June's three children Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon and Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon. Her oldest, Anna, is married with a child of her own.

"From our point of view, when there are young children who are not able to protect themselves that are in daily contact or living with a sex offender, someone would go out and assess the situation and decide whether the children can stay there or not," she said. "If we thought a child was in harm's way in any way, shape or form, we would develop a safety plan and make sure the children are not around an offender."

Mama June has continued to deny reports that she is dating McDaniel and posted a "Truth Video" to her Facebook page on Oct. 24

"I have not seen that person in 10 years, and do not seem to want to see that person," she said in the video. "We just want to thank from the bottom of our hearts the support that we've had from our fans since May 2012... The experience has been awesome to us. The girls have been able to do things that they would not normally have had to do."

In an interview with People, Anna said she doesn't know who to believe anymore.

"I'm confused," she said. "I'm hearing one story from Mama and another from somebody else."
