It's official, "Boo Boo" is going bye-bye. According to TMZ, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" has been cancelled by TLC after reports surfaced that one of its main stars, Mama June, was dating a sex offender. News broke on Thursday (Oct. 23) claiming that Mama June had rekindled a romance with 53-year-old Mark McDaniel, who was released from prison in March for forcing an 8-year-old to have oral sex.

TMZ reported that the victim was a relative of Mama June's. According to the site, TLC axed the show out of fear that Mama June's rumored new man was a danger to her kids.

"TLC has cancelled the series 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately," the network said in a statement to ABC News. "Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."

Reportedly, the network had already filmed an entire new season of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" but decided that it won't air on TV. In the last year, the show has seen a decline in ratings but was still one of the most-watched shows on TLC.

Sources told TMZ that the network will pay for the kids to have private tutoring and counseling. Mama June released a video Friday morning confirming that the show had been cancelled but denied that she had rekindled a relationship with McDaniel.

"I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can't believe everything you read! Ppl sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false! It isn't true I promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn't go back," she wrote.
