"X-Men" director Bryan Singer is reportedly going to be a dad, TMZ reports. A source close to the famed Hollywood director told the site that Singer is expecting his first child with longtime friend and actress Michelle Clunie.
Reportedly, Clunie is about seven months along and is expected to give birth in December. According to TMZ, the actress is now living a few doors down from Singer. He recently purchased a West Hollywood home so Clunie could be closer to him.
Even though Singer has known Clunie for years - and rumored to have dated her - TMZ claims that it's a surrogacy and the two are not a couple. According to The National Enquirer, Singer paid Clunie $1 million to have the baby but this has not been confirmed.
"He's paying for everything," the source said. "She lives on Bryan's property, and when they delivered the baby things, one of Bryan's assistants helped bring it all in."
The baby news comes after the director was allegedly investigated by the NYPD when a third man came forward with claims that Singer had sexually assaulted him. According to an August 2014 report by Page Six, a 20-year-old man filed a criminal complaint with the NYPD Special Victims Squad alleging that Singer assaulted him last year.
A source close to the director told the Daily News that the claims were false.
"This is an old allegation that was leaked out of desperation to damage Bryan after the civil lawsuits against him were dismissed," the source said.
