A 33-year-old man from Tennessee has fathered 18 children by 17 different women according to Gawker. The father-of-many is currently in a legal battle with all of the mothers of his children for unpaid child support. Orlando Shaw claims he loves all of his children although he lost count of how many children he actually has.
"I was young and ambitious and I love women," Shaw told Channel 5. "You can't knock no man for loving women. I love my kids and I can care less about what anyone thinks about it. I'll be sure we'll be here for years and years to come,"
According to Channel 5, the state pays an estimate of "$7,000 each month in assistance to help support all of Shaw's children." The mothers of the children reportedly accuse Shaw of owing thousands of dollars in child support. He will likely head to trial.
The magistrate in the case seemed baffled at the case.
"How do we apply our child support guidelines to this many children in this many households," magistrate Scott Rosenberg said.
Rosenburg reportedly predicted Shaw will need at least four full-time jobs to settle his debt.
Shaw also asked the courts to help him "get more involved with his children's lives even if he can't do so financially."
It's unclear Shaw is currently employed or whether or not a temporary child support payment amount has been made. He hopes to hit the lotto to help take care of his children.
