Early Wednesday morning (June 5) Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson, was rushed to the hospital for an apparent suicide attempt. Debbie Rowe, the 15-year-old girl's mother, confirmed the news to "Entertainment Tonight" saying that her daughter "had a lot going on [lately]."

According to TMZ, Jackson's suicide attempt was a cry for help for the young girl who reportedly overdosed on Motrin and cut her wrists with a meat cleaver. Law enforcement officials told the celebrity website that Jackson called a suicide hotline because she "wanted to make sure EMTs got there in time." They do not believe her "intent was to kill herself."

"She wanted attention," the source told TMZ. "She wanted to be saved. It makes no sense if you really want to die to call a hotline, where the person on the other end will get an ambulance over to your house."

It was also reported by the website that she did leave behind a suicide note although it was not revealed what the note said. The Daily Mail reports that sources claim Jackson has been having an extremely difficult time dealing with her father's death. The source also said that she is currently in the middle of exams at school and was anxious about her upcoming court appearance where she is supposed to testify in a trial connected to her father's death.

To add to her anxiety, the teenager had just gotten into an argument for not being allowed to go to a Marilyn Manson concert and reportedly her rekindled relationship with her mother has been causing problems in the family.

E! News reports that Katherine Jackson has reluctantly supported the idea of her granddaughter's rekindled relationship with Rowe but Prince "wanted nothing to do with it." His lack of support has led to "a rift between the two."
