Senior Shot: High School Football Star And Class President Walks in Graduation (VIDEO)

A high school senior surprised his classmates when he walked across the stage at their graduation after being shot in the head according to Daily Mail.

Balaal Hollings broke up a fight two months ago at a party which resulted in the teen being shot. Hollings, the student government president, senior class president, homecoming king and football star, was welcomed by a cheering crying, cheering crowd.

"Balaal is one of the most intelligent, kind-hearted, and selfless men I have ever met," Justin Williams, a senior, told the Detroit Free Press.

A brief halt at the graduation left graduates wondering. That's when Hollings appeared with a smile and a speech.

"First of all, I just want to thank God. It is great to be alive. I got shot in the head and now I'm fully rehabilitated," Hollings said. "I forgot how to walk. I forgot how to talk. I didn't forget how to eat."

According to ABC News, Hollings was shot in his temporal lobe and was hospitalized for two weeks. The shooter has not been arrested, but Hollings insist he was not invited to the event. The party was a celebration for Hollings best friend's birthday.

"I had missed her dinner, so I promised to make it to the party," Hollings said. "After the party, some East Side boy was shooting for no reason. A bullet hit the wall, and then it hit me. He wasn't invited. He just showed up, crashed the party."

Hollings was unable to return to school, but he had acquired enough credits to be a part of Northwestern High School's graduating class. The teen claims he feels no animosity towards his shooter and he forgives them. Rather than pursue a career in professional football, he hopes to study pre-law or criminal justice.

Northwestern High School is scheduled to close for good this summer and has provided the Hollings with a $50,000 scholarship.
