Providence, Rhode Island, reporter Abbey Niezgoda and cameraman Marc Jackson are still licking their wounds after being attacked by a local woman and her dogs while trying to report a story earlier this week.
Melissa Lawrence can be seen in the video threatening the reporter and her cameraman with a bat, throwing rocks and ordering her dogs to attack the journalist duo on a public street.
You can hear Lawrence telling her dogs to "sic 'em" after throwing rocks at the camera lens and screaming for someone to give her a bat.
She later appeared from her home and chain-linked fence with the weapon, going after Niezgoda, threatening her and demanding that she get away.
Niezgoda began running away and yelling for help, even throwing her microphone on the ground as one of the dogs snapped at her forearm and made attempts to bite at the cameraman.
Niezgoda reported to the scene in order to try to collect accounts from locals about a shooting that had taken place over the weekend during a graduation party at the residence in which Lawrence's 16-year-old daughter, Ny'asia Lawrence, was wounded.
According to Boston.com, police believe a group of youths showed up uninvited to the party and shot one of the guests in the back after the victim's mother told one of the boys in the group to either leave or pay for the food that he was eating.
Reports indicate that the group left at first, but returned later with a gun and began shooting into the crowd
Ny'asia was the only one injured and is currently at Hasbro Children's Hospital being treated for her wounds.
A teenage boy has since turned himself into police in connection with the shooting.
Lawrence was arraigned on Wednesday for the attack on the journalists and was released on a $50,000 personal recognizance.
