Barry Manilow's new album will no doubt be seen by his fans as a tribute. To some, it may even be creepy. To others, it will simply be quirky.

Light-years from now some popular singer may get the idea to take the songs of today's superstar crooners - Barry Manilow, Elton John, Billy Joel and Tony Bennett - and sing along with the then-deceased stars to create a duets album. Trouble is, that futuristic singer's concept won't be novel at all - he'd actually be ripping off Barry Manilow himself.

Manilow's latest album is a collection of duets with musical and movie stars who have, unfortunately, already passed on to entertainment heaven, reports showbiz411.

"My Dream Duet" is the name of the new album, and its release date is either clever marketing or unfortunate happenstance. The album goes on sale Oct. 27 - a few days before Halloween.

So, what deceased stars did Manilow chose as his duet partners? On his dream list is Whitney Houston, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Jimmy Durante, Andy Williams, Louis Armstrong, "Mama" Cass Elliot, Sammy Davis Jr., Dusty Springfield, John Denver and Frankie Lymon.

Here's the "My Dream Duets" track list.

"The Song's Gotta Come from the Heart," with Jimmy Durante
"Goody Goody," with Frankie Lymon
"Dream a Little Dream of Me," with Mama Cass
"I Believe In You and Me," with Whitney Houston
