There's more trouble for Amanda Bynes. Reportedly the former child actress was evicted from her New York City apartment after her May 23 arrest, In Touch magazine reports.
An insider revealed to the magazine that Bynes "was notified that she is no longer welcome as a tenant in the building in light of recent events." Bynes was arrested at her Times Square apartment after a complaint that she was smoking marijuana in the lobby of her building. A staff member called the police on Bynes who was arrested and taken to Roosevelt Hospital for a psychological evaluation. She was charged with reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and possession of marijuana.
Bynes has continuously denied any wrongdoing tweeting that the New York Police Department were lying. She claims she has never done drugs and she did not throw a bong out her apartment window. She also tweeted that she would be suing the police department on sexual harassment charges claiming a police officer inappropriately touched her. Police have since dismissed that claim.
According to the magazine, "at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, movers showed up and removed Amanda's belongings from her apartment. She is officially gone."
A source from the NYPD told In Touch that residents of the apartment building were so fed up with Bynes' behavior they had been trying to get Bynes evicted for a while now. Reportedly residents claim that she would curse out the residents in the building and the doorman. Residents also said the smell of marijuana from her apartment was becoming unbearable.
Despite her erratic behavior, Bynes' attorney, Richard Hutton, said he believes the star is "fine."
"I have no problems with her whatsoever," her attorney told People magazine. "Every time I've talked to her, I've had nice, attorney-client normal relations with her."
Hutton, is representing Bynes for her Los Angeles DUI case and is not involved with her recent legal issues in New York.
