New York Giants Vs. Detroit Lions Live Radio Broadcast: NFL Monday Night Football (LISTEN)

The New York Giants play the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football. Kickoff is at 7:10 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast or watch the live stream below.

New York's offense will be under scrutiny from the first snap. Quarterback Eli Manning struggled to connect with his receivers throughout the preseason under the system of new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, and Manning even admitted adjusting to the new offense would be a season-long process.

"Don't get me wrong, we're ready for Week 1," Manning told reporters, via ESPN. "But I think as a season goes on, you're always looking to improve, whether you've been in a system for 10 years or whether you have young guys and need guys to step up or you have new players, there's always room for improvement."

While the offense is still looking to get into rhythm, the Giants' defense appears ready to roll into Ford Field. The defense helped turn around New York's season last year, and with an improved roster - cornerbacks Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Walter Thurmond to bolster the secondary - the Giants believe they can make a deep playoff run.

"I think we have the potential to be a Super Bowl championship team," said defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka, who won Super Bowls with the team in the 2007 and 2011 seasons. "I am not just saying that. We have all the talent. We have the desire. It's just about putting it together."

Detroit knows all about having the talent but not being able to put it together. After a strong start to the season last year, the Lions lost six of their last seven games, including four straight. The poor finish to the season cost coach Jim Schwartz his job, leading to the hiring of Jim Caldwell.

"We're incredibly motivated after what happened last year," Lions receiver Calvin Johnson said. "We know what we had in our grasp, but there were so many games down the stretch that we couldn't finish. We learned from that, and we're in a position now that we can win those games and get into the playoffs. Once you get in, anything can happen."
