John Balyo, Former Christian Radio Host Allegedly Admits to Child Rape

John Balyo, a Christian radio host for WCSG in Michigan, has allegedly admitted to raping a 12-year-old boy, the Daily News reported.

Police arrested Balyo, 35, at the Big Ticket Christian music festival in June in Gaylord, Mich. After cops say he paid to have sex with the boy on May 17.

His accused rape accomplice, Ronald Lee Moser, 42, from Battle Creek, Mich., was nabbed by authorities on June 5 after they entered his home and found him with the 12-year-old, MLive.com reported. The Christian host allegedly paid Moser to have sex with the young boy.

Moser's cell phone was confiscated and police found photos of the boy posing in sexually-charged positions wearing a thong and many online albums that had child pornography in them. In some, the boys hands and feet were bound, with underwear rolled up to show his backside, the Daily Mail reported.

Police believe Moser traded the photos with others online, with titles including "very cute boy" and "sexy boys," according to the Daily Mail.

Under the username "JAYBOY3," the Daily News reported that Moser set up an online profile that said he was "looking for people in or around Michigan that r [sic] in to kids."

Moser was indicted in federal court on child exploitation and child pornography charges. Balyo was charged with first-degree criminal assault two weeks later.

The investigation into the alleged pedophiles has involved numerous agencies as part of a larger "Operation Pedophile."

WCSG fired Balyo and the station has publicly asked for prayers for the exiled host, his family and the alleged victims. He had worked at the radio station for eight years.

In a statement obtained by the Daily Mail, WCSG said: "We sincerely grieve over these recent events, in particular the tragic impact on victims and their parents. The trafficking and exploitation of minors is absolutely deplorable."

Balyo is due back in court on July 17 and faces trial on August 18.
