DC Entertainment released a new image of Ben Affleck in his Batman garb earlier this week.

A new official photo of Ben Affleck as Batman from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has been released by DC Comics. Batman's 75th anniversary is being celebrated at the Comic-con in San Diego with a big Batman montage wall made up of old and new photos. In this case... brand new!

"This year, Batman's stepping out of the shadows...and into the Comic-Con spotlight. With his 75th Anniversary going strong, Batman is a major presence at San Diego Comic-Con," officials said in a blog post. "He's been seen in comics, film, TV, games, toys and clothing, and it's all represented within the DC Entertainment booth, particularly in the Batman 75th Anniversary montage wall created for the show. Within this wall, you can spot many images of the Dark Knight, both old and in some cases very new.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" photographer Clay Enos took the shot above with a Nikon D4, and the end result is completely Photoshop-free!

Earlier Affleck admitted he hesitated when it came to taking on the iconic role during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in September.

"They called me up and said 'Do you want to do this?' And I thought, 'I'm not 25 man, are you sure about this?' They said, 'Come down, we wanna show you what we're doing.' It was incredible," he said, according to Us Weekly.

This is only the start of San Diego Comic-Con, and there is a very good chance that this won't be the last we see of Batman during the event. Warner Bros. is set to have their big Hall H presentation on Saturday morning, and while nothing is officially on the docket, there are those who are predicting that the panel will feature not only footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but also announcements regarding the future of DC Comics heroes at the movies.
