A rich New York City real estate heir is accused of urinating on a candy rack at a CVS store in Texas after he went in to pick up a prescription, Houston-based KHOU-TV reported.

Robert Durst, who was acquitted of murder 13 years ago, picked up his prescription at CVS on Sunday at around 12 p.m. But instead of leaving the pharmacy, the 77-year-old exposed himself, peed all over the candy near the register and left.

Durst urinated on the cash register too, Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva told the New York Post.

"He wasn't arguing with anybody and he didn't seem agitated," Silva said. "He just peed on the candy. Skittles, I think."

Police said the strange act was caught by a surveillance camera. A warrant for Durst's arrest charges him with criminal mischief, KHOU-TV reported.

Durst's family runs the Durst Organization, a billion-dollar private real estate firm with sizable property in New York, the Post reported. But he has been estranged from his family and 13 relatives have restraining orders against him.

Chip Lewis, the elderly man's lawyer, said his client suffers from Asperger's syndrome.

"I take issue with someone that says he's crazy," Lewis told the station. "Bob's not crazy. Bob's a guy who's just trying to live through the twilight of his life. And it's very difficult when you're Bob Durst."

Lewis is the same lawyer who defended Durst when he was tried in 2001 for the murder of 71-year-old Morris Black, whom Durst was friends with. Durst claimed he was acting in self-defense when he killed the victim, cut his body and stuffed the parts into plastic bags, the station reported.

But the freaky incidents don't stop there. Durst's wife Kathie vanished in 1982. He didn't report her missing until several days later.

Police investigating the disappearance got in touch with one of Durst's friends, Susan Berman. She was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in 2000, according to KHOU-TV.

Durst remains out on bail until his next court date on Sept. 22. He could serve 180 days in jail if convicted for criminal mischief, the station reported.
