Rapper Faked Own Death: Tim Dog Lied To Avoid $2 Million Debt

Rapper Tim Dog is being accused of faking his death to avoid paying a $2 million debt according to the Huffington Post.

The "F**k Compton" rapper reportedly died from a "seizure following a battle with diabetes" but a Mississippi woman claims the he's alive. There's a warrant out for his arrest.

Esther Pilgrim has a legal history with Tim Dog, real name Timothy Blair. The Huffington Post reports Tim Dog "pleaded guilty to grand larceny for defrauding Pilgrim" in 2011 when he scammed her into embarking on a romantic relationship with him so that she can financially support his career. Pilgrim was receiving payment from the rapper up until his alleged death.

"There was nothing of what you would normally find. What city? Who found him? There was nothing with any type of concrete details," said Pilgrim.

"I need proof. I need a death certificate showing that's he's dead because as far as I'm concerned, he's alive," said Steven Jubera, a prosecutor.

Tim Dog's death was reported on Feb. 14 by Rolling Stone who credited The Source for the devastating news. In light of the accusations of possibly faking his own death, journalists have searched for reports of the artist death but some articles are either no longer available or are filled with ambiguous conclusions.

"The issue of Tim Dog's life or death needs to be resolved as soon as humanly possible in order for both his victims and family to have closure," said Drew Millard, journalist for Vice's music section. "In the eyes of the law, until he is proven dead, they have to treat him as if he is alive. And he is in contempt of court because he has not been making hismonthly payments.

It's not really about the money. This affected me long term financially, emotionally, physically, everything," Pilgrim said.
