Lynda Carter doesn't believe Gal Gadot needs to change her shape or build muscle to take on the role of Wonder Woman in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Carter was the first actress to take on the liv-action role of Wonder Woman in the popular and iconic 1970s TV show. During an interview on "Katie Couric" on Tuesday, Carter explained what it means to be Wonder Woman and it has nothing to do with muscles or bust size.

"Well, they didn't ask me. I kind of wanted to keep it," Carter said, joking with Couric. "But the truth is that I wish her well. I think it is...to play a superhero is kind of thankless in a lot of ways. And as long as they don't try to make a...they don't write it for a guy, but put a girl in there, you know grrr [making a muscle with her arms], that kind of stuff, because that's not Wonder Woman."

"Wonder Woman's about heart, about kindness, about righting wrongs. It's like all of us, right? It's where we live," she added. "It's all the places we live. And that's really who Wonder Woman is. All the things we do. And then, there's still that secret self that wants a pat on the back every now and then. So we come in all shapes and sizes, and I really do hope that she can bring that kind of heart to the character."

Gadot's Wonder Woman isn't the only "Batman v. Superman" character making its ways onto TV. Jason Momoa continued to comment on any connection with the Warner Bros. production during an Access Hollywood interview on Wednesday.

"I hear a lot of stuff in the paper - you'll have to wait and see, " Jason told the show regarding his rumored role of Aquaman. "I'm not sure yet. Never know," he added.

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
