Cannes Film Festival 2013: Psy Impersonator Scores Free Drinks, Photo-ops with Celebrities (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

South Korean rapper Psy is now the talk of the Cannes Film Festival. The "Gangnam Style" star was reportedly living it up in France attending exclusive parties, scoring free drinks and mingling with the celebrities.

There is one problem though; the real Psy is in Singapore. The man having the time of his life at Cannes was an impostor.

MTV reports that a man pretending to be Psy was spotted all over the popular film festival. For two days the fake Psy, who bears a striking resemblance to the rapper, managed to pull of the charade.

"He was playing it up full scale," a source told the New York Post.

The fake Psy went as far as to hire three "body guards" to accompany him wherever he went. This was a well thought out plan. He even got access to attend a "secret party" thrown by millionaire oil magnate and fashion designer Goga Ashkenazi and Le Baron's.

The real Psy and the celebrities he tricked didn't seem to mind the charade and even laughed it off. "Skyfall" actress Naomie Harris tweeted a picture with the fake Psy later tweeting that she had been duped after she discovered it wasn't really him.

According to Atlantic Wire, the man has yet to be identified and has not only been attending parties and posing with celebrities but he also appeared in a video for French radio station, Radio Prestige, where he showed the host how to do the "Gangnam Style" dance.
