If Jason Momoa doesn't want to take on the role of Aquaman in the "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," actor Jon Heder will gladly take it off his hands.

Heder was recently spotted at the Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Australia on Sunday. The Daily Mail was able to catch up with the actor, who dished about his love for the superhero genre.

"I would totally love to play Aquaman, especially if they wanted me for the role and thought I had a good enough body," Heder said. "...No, seriously, I love the superhero genre and am very interested in doing a big budget studio version."

"I can breathe under water for a little bit...I can hold my breath for a few minutes in the audition," the actor continued, referring to the similarities he shares with Aquaman.

Unfortunately for Heder it looks like Momoa has already locked in the role. Despite the "Game of Thrones" actor's constant denial, HitFix reports Momoa has signed on to take on the role of Aquaman in director Zack Snyder's "Batman vs. Superman" production.

"While Warner Bros. hasn't made that announcement officially yet, HitFix can confirm that he will be playing the part, and that Zack Snyder has already finalized his designs for the character so shooting can take place soon," according to HitFix.

Soon after the news hit the Internet, Momoa shared an image on Instagram that caused many to believe he will play Aquaman. The photo (see above image) shows Momoa holding a pitchfork, which is similar to Aquaman's weapon, a trident.

Momoa doesn't physically resemble Aquaman, as the superhero is usually portrayed as a blonde, but his potential costar Gal Gadot isn't a dead ringer for Wonder Woman either.

"Batman vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice" will be released to theaters May 6, 2016.
