Sandra Bullock Gets Emergency Protective Order After Intruder Tries to Break In

A suspect has been arrested after breaking into Sandra Bullock's home while she was sleeping.

According to People Magazine, the suspect, 39-year-old Joshua Corbett, was arrested and booked Sunday for residential burglary after breaking into the actress' Los Angeles home while she was sleeping.

Los Angeles police spokeswoman Nuria Vanegas said authorities responded to a call of a suspicious man prowling around Bullock's Beverly Hills, Los Angeles residence at 6:30 a.m. Sunday. The incident is being classified as a "hot prowl burglary," or a burglary that takes place while someone is home.

Police were reportedly on the scene within four minutes of the call. Corbett was charged with felony residential burglary and is currently being held in a Los Angeles jail on $50,000 bond, according to LAPD Officer Wendy Reyes

People added that Bullock is "unharmed and fine," but has obtained an emergency protective order against Corbett. The 49-year-old actress bought the seven-bedroom, eight bathroom mansion in 2011 for $16.2 million. The house includes a tennis court, pool, separate guesthouse, gym and a private screening room.

The "Gravity" actress was in Los Angeles last weekend to accept the Decade of Hotness award at the Guy's Choice Awards - presented to her by her former co-stars Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, and Keanu Reeves. In her acceptance speech, Bullock said she has a tendency to be somewhat of a homebody.

"Decade of Hotness...My question was what decade? I have several under my belt. It should really be Decade of Hot Mess," she said. "That I can own and I do that well and I'm still convinced I'm up here because someone dropped out and they needed someone quickly and we know I'm home on Saturdays."

Bullock is best known for her roles in "Speed," "The Lake House" and "The Blind Side," for which she won an Academy Award.
