Kristen Stewart Makes Directorial Debut With A Music Video For "Sage and The Saints"

"Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart made her directorial debut with a music video she directed for Sage and The Saints.

The video was for the song "Take Me to the South." It was filmed in Tennessee last year and Sage Galesi of the band Sage and The Saints couldn't be happier she'd asked Stewart to direct it.

"I knew that I wanted Kristen to direct this video, and part of that is because I knew she would have the perfect vision for it," Galesi told Us Weekly. "We are friends, and she knows what this story about is about because it's my story."

The video begins with Galesi packing up her life in L.A. to make a go of it as a country star in Nashville. Scenic shots are interspersed with shots of the singer onstage and goofing off with friends.

"It was a really great experience working with Kristen as a director because of her honesty as an artist and a person," said Galesi, who is raising money for a full-length album. "I could let go and trust that she would capture something wonderful."

In a previous interview with Rolling Stone, Stewart told the magazine that the entire experience was very stressful but she enjoyed every bit of it. She said she was thankful that the band had put their trust in her and gave her the opportunity to try her hands in directing.

"I've been saying I want to direct movies since I was 10 years old," the former child star said. "And then I started making movies and working with such incredible people that I realized what I was up against...Basically, I'm grateful to Sage, because she was like, 'I have this little thing, no one could tell the story better than you...just do it and stop being such a p--sy.'"

The actress won rave reviews for her role in "The Clouds of Sils Maria", which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, May 23. Talking about her role, she said she's glad to have had a chance to explore the other side of fame, with all the ambivalence and fascination about celebrity culture that the part required, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

This year's Cannes Film Festival proved to be a little disappointing for Robsten fans who were hoping to get confirmation on the long awaited Stewart and Robert Pattinson reconciliation. Unfortunately that didn't happen. However, according to a recent Celebrity Dirty Laundry report, sources have confirmed to the tabloid that the two will be starring together in another film pretty soon. Though the title of the film was not revealed, the sources said it will definitely not be an adult film and will mostly cater to the likes of teenagers and young adults.
