"Arrested Development" fans were treated to a visit from the series' frozen banana stand, ahead of the new season premiere on NetFlix.
Bluth's Original Frozen Banana stand showed up at a few spots in New York this week, including a stop in Columbus Circle Tuesday.
Lines of loyal customers stretched for blocks as they waited for the frozen treats, according to CNN. The stops are a lead-up to the series premiere May 26.
Executive Producter Ron Howard, who is also scheduled to make a cameo appearance on the show this season, even served up the frozen bananas at the traveling stand Tuesday. Actors Will Arnett, Terry Crews and Jason Bateman also took a turn, according to the show's Twitter page.
The Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand, was created by the character George in the 1950's as part of the Bluth Company. The stand has been repeatedly ruined and rebuilt throughout the course of the family's dramatic adventures. Various members of the Bluth family have worked at the stand when financial times were rough.
But the real-life bananas aren't being made by the cast members. They ones fans are eating are made by Chuck Pheterson, the president of Totally Bananas, based out of Florida, according to Time.com. According to the magazine, the man had never seen the show and didn't know about the mock business endeavor when he started his company in 2009, Time said.
"Arrested Development" ran from 2003 to 2006 when it was cancelled. The new season will be offered on NetFLix at the end of the month, with each episode reportedly focus on a different character.
