"American Idol" runner-up, Kree Harrison, is not letting second place deter her musical dreams. The 22-year-old Texas native lost to 'Idol' winner Candice Glover but told MTV News that she has some big plans for the future plans that might "involve departing judge and 'Idol' vet Randy Jackson."
"It was sad. We'll see each other. I know we will," Harrison told MTV News about wanting to work with Jackson. "I love him and apparently we have a mutual friend, which I didn't even know until the other day. And, so I would love to work with him in the future. I adore him."
Harrison said she hopes her song "All Cried Out," which she performed during the season finale, will be her first single and tells fans to stay tuned because she definitely has more music on the way.
At a post-show press conference Harrison was upbeat, optimistic and happy for her friend.
"We're both so driven and hungry for each other's careers and I just felt like this is just the beginning," she said. "This is not the end of the road for any of us."
Finalists from this season had nothing but nice things to say about Harrison. Devin Velez, who came in eighth, said Kree was the one everybody went to for a hug.
"She's actually the mother of all of us," he said. "She's so genuine. She's one of the most genuine people I've ever met."
Both Harrison and Glover along with the remaining top ten finalists are all preparing for the "American Idol" tour will kick off in St. Louis at the end of June. Harrison said she is looking forward to performing for the fans that helped her get all the way to the finale.
"I get to travel the country and thank each and every one of them for voting for me and getting me this far," she said. "As many hugs I can possibly give, I will."
