A man in Connecticut was arrested on Wednesday in connection to a shooting hoax at Yale University in November, according to NBCNews.com.
Jeffrey Jones, 50, was arrested by New Haven Police and faces charges of falsely reporting an incident, threatening in the second degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, misuse of the emergency 911 system, and breach of peace.
On November 25, an anonymous caller told police his roommate was planning to open fire at Yale students -- prompting a lockdown of campus and surrounding schools in addition to a large police presence in the area.
No one was injured in the incident and authorities eventually tracked the call to a street phone booth.
The frightening incident occurred weeks after a scare at Central Connecticut State University, which was placed on lockdown after reports of a student carrying a weapon on campus. However, the student was dressed in a Halloween costume.
In January, officers found Jones acting suspicious outside of their department and arrested him, WFSB-TV said. He had not been connected to the shooting hoax then.
Jones is scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday. According to NBCNews.com, authorities will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. for further details on the case.
