Quinton Aaron: ‘The Blind Side’ Actor Kicked off US Airways Flight for ‘Taking Up Too Much Space’

Actor Quinton Aaron was kicked off a US Airways flight for "taking up too much room." The 29-year-old told TMZ that he boarded a flight from Philadelphia to Rochester, N.Y. but before the plane even took off a flight attendant asked him to leave.

Aaron, who is best known for his role in "The Blind Side" opposite Sandra Bullock, explained that he usually takes first class but it was full, so he needed two economy seats.

"As I saw the seats, I'm literally hoping that no one had to sit next to me because I knew it wasn't going to work if they did," Aaron said, ABC reports.

Another passenger did arrive so the flight attendant politely asked Aaron, who stands 6 feet 8 inches and weighs over 500 pounds, to take the next flight.

"I just grabbed my bag and just got off as quick as possible because it was embarrassing," he told ABC.

Instead of getting upset, the actor said he's going to use the experience to motivate him to lose weight.

"I live in California. I want to go to the beach in the summertime with a tank top on and have girls chasing me down on the beach one day," Aaron said.

In the end Aaron told TMZ that it worked out in his favor.

"I definitely need two seats," he said. "It worked out for the better... my knees weren't pushed into the back of the metal on someone else's seat."

In 2012, the Hollywood star started The Quinton Aaron Foundation to raise awareness about childhood obesity and bullying. In a previous interview he said that there "a lot of kids that" are bullied because of their weight so he wants to help children understand healthy eating and exercise.

"Not everyone has had the luxury of growing up knowing the right foods to eat or knowing what a healthier lifestyle is," he said, ABC reports.
