Washington Nationals Vs. New York Mets Live Radio Broadcast: MLB Opening Day 2014 (LISTEN)

The Washington Nationals begin the 2014 MLB season on Monday with a visit against the New York Mets. The game starts at 1:10 p.m. ET. Listen to the free live radio broadcast via the links provided below.

After failing to make it into the postseason, the Nationals start their 2014 campaign with a visit to Citi Field. Washington is already an early favorite to win the NL East, and some believe they have enough talent to make a run to the World Series.

Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg, though, isn't buying into the preseason hype.

"I think a lot of it has to do wit how much talent is on our roster and how good we look on paper," Strasburg told the Associated Press. "That's not going to carry you the whole way."

Strasburg, who finished the 2013 season with an 8-9 record and 3.00 ERA, is slated to take the mound on Monday for the Nationals.

Mets pitcher Dillon Gee will get the start for New York as pitchers Matt Harvey and Jonathon Niese continue to recover from injuries.

"It's kind of by default," Gee admitted. "I'm very thankful for that opportunity, but really I've just got to take it like any other game. It's just one of 30-something starts I hope to get this year, but it's definitely a big honor."

Gee went 12-11 with a 3.62 ERA in 2013.
