The Stanford Cardinal play the New Mexico Lobos on Friday in the 2014 NCAA Tournament round of 64. The March Madness game tips off at 1:40 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream or listen to the radio broadcast via the links provided below.
Seventh-seeded New Mexico won nine of their last 10 games, including four straight. Their last win, a 64-58 victory on Saturday against San Diego State, netted the Lobos the Mountain West championship.
Still, their one-and-done loss last year to Harvard still haunts New Mexico as they prepare to begin their tournament campaign on Friday.
"We figured someone was going to ask us," guard Kendall Williams told the Associated Press. "You know, we talk about it all the time. It was a tough loss, but at the end of the day, everyone loses. People ask if we've learned from it and sure we have."
Lobos forward Cameron Bairstow led the team and the conference in scoring with 20.3 points per game and was a big reason for the Lobos' success. Heading into March Madness, the senior knows how he has to play.
"In a lot of situations I'm not the most athletic guy," Bairstow said. "So I have to try to make it a more physical contest."
Bairstow's remarks wouldn't surprise Stanford coach Johnny Dawkins, who expects a physical game against the Lobos.
"They are a physical team, they a big team," Dawkins said. "That's what makes our game so beautiful. I think you have to allow teams to play the way they play within reason."
Stanford, meanwhile, had their three-game winning streak snapped in the Pac-12 tournament against UCLA.
