The White House announced on Friday that Vice President Joe Biden will be visiting New Hampshire next week, POLITICO reported.
Biden will make his way to Nashua "for an event highlighting workforce development and the value of on-the-job training opportunities," according to the White House.
As the midterm elections loom, President Obama and other Democratic lawmakers have prioritized jobs as a key message for campaigns, including an effort to raise the minimum wage.
Further details about the visit were not available.
In both 2008 and 2012 elections, Obama won New Hampshire's four electoral votes.
Though Biden has expressed he may be interested in running for president in 2016, polls show he trails behind former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton among New Hampshire voters.
The announcement of Biden's trip comes one day after Republican legislators suggested Obama should make a trip to New Hampshire, where his approval rating has recently declined, the Nashua Telegraph reported.
"If the reports are true, this is great news for Scott Brown," Ryan Williams, a volunteer spokesman for Brown's exploratory campaign, said to the local paper.
