Amanda Bynes just finished her first quarter at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, and sources told E! News that she is definitely a model student.

"She's a great student who always participated and really cared about her classes," the source said about the 27-year-old actress. "She really fit in and loves her school."

Bynes is following in the footsteps of other fashion celebrities like Lauren Conrad and Monique Lhuiller, who both attended the school. Apparently, Bynes loves the school so much that she plans on taking more classes in April.

"If she was offered an acting job anytime soon she may not take it because she's so focused on school," the source continued.

The "Easy A" star has been keeping a low profile and hasn't said much about school or her classes on Twitter but did share an update on Mar. 1 writing, "Hi everyone! I'm busy studying at @FIDM but I want to say I love you to my fans!"

She also shared a sketch, which many believe is a self-portrait.

"Amanda's really talented at what she does so the picture is the real deal," the source said. "She's only just beginning."

Bynes started taking classes at the school in January. A source told E! at the time that everyone loved having her on campus and that she was "very nice, friendly and chatting with her classmates."

According to reports, the former Nickelodeon star originally wanted to study fashion design but changed it to merchandise product development. It seems like the actress is finally on the right track after having a very difficult year, which ended in her going to rehab. Since leaving the facility in December 2013, she left New York and moved to California to live with her parents.

Three months ago her lawyer gave an update saying that Bynes was "doing very well and reestablishing a close and loving relationship with her family."
