"Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis has been found guilty on misdemeanor counts of assault and false imprisonment, after he had a fight with three women in Hollywood in 2011.
After his two-week trial, the jury indicted the 40-year-old spring break breast-showing video mogul of three counts of false imprisonment and one count of assault that caused great bodily injury, reported the Washington Post.
He is also convicted of one count of dissuading a witness. He could face up to five years in prison-he will find out his sentencing on Wednesday.
According to the Associated Press, Francis met the three women upon their college graduation celebration at the Supper Club in Hollywood on January 29.
He took one of the young women by her hand when he left the club and took her to his limousine parked outside. The other two ladies followed the duo, under the impression that Francis would give them a ride to their vehicle, the prosecutors explained.
Then, he brought the three women to his house. They began to argue when he tried separating one from the other two. Francis reportedly grabbed one of the women by her hair and neck and slammed her head onto the ground.
Following an investigation, the DA has turned down the opportunity to file felony charges, instead referring it to the city attorney. It will be filed as a misdemeanor charge.
Francis founded GGW Brands LLC. He filed for bankruptcy in February, bogged down by $16 million in disputed claims.
Phone numbers previously supplied for Francis and his company had been disconnected. His attorney could not be reached for comment.
