A woman in Washington was charged with kidnapping and theft after stealing a pickup truck with two kids inside of it in February, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
Surveillance footage shows Natalie Hulme, 49, speaking with the driver of the vehicle, Colby Johnson, on Feb. 28. She then jumps into the car and speeds away -- with Johnson's kids inside -- as Johnson pounds on the windows to stop her.
According to King County prosecutors, flat tires forced Hulme to stop a short time later in Kent. She attempted to steal other cars, eventually elbowing a pregnant woman out of her SUV. The driver of the SUV was able to get help and a third driver pulled Hulme out of the car, near Riverbend Golf Course, where golfers held her until police arrived.
The children in the back seat, ages 5 and 2, were not injured during the incident. However, the 5-year-old girl told police Hulme allegedly threatened to kill her if she tried to get out of the car.
