Sarah McNally's Death

The Longford, Ireland native McNally had supposedly been living with her partner and had no previous domestic violence history.

Landlord Mike Lambe, 62, said McNally was a "sweet, innocent girl from Longford," a county located in the center of the Emerald Isle. Lambe has lived two blocks away from the tavern for the past 20 years.

An emotional Facebook message mourning McNally's death was posted by her relative, Mark McNally, "Rest in peace my beautiful niece Sarah, we are heart broken, love you always."

Cllr Martin Monahan, the cathaoirleach of Longford Municipal District, said to the Irish Independent: "The people of Longford were saddened and shocked by the sudden demise of a young life, someone who has made a life for herself in New York."

According to a spokesman for the New York Police Department, the inquiry is still in progress.
