"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" stars had a "redneck" wedding on Cinco de Mayo. According to USA Today, June Shannon and Sugar Bear exchanged their "I Do's" in front of close family and friends.

Wedding invitations were sent to guests encouraging them to wear "full redneck attire". The invitation also stated that the use of cellphones, cameras, or outside videotaping was prohibited, TMZ reported.

The couple met in an online chat room nearly nine years ago. The wedding took place in the backyard of the couple's home.

Shannon released a statement to People about her special day. "The day was very special mostly because my girls were able to take part in it. I felt like it was important for them to see this moment and celebrate my love for Sugar Bear."

The nuptials are reported to appear on the upcoming season of their hit-reality show, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo".

Shannon kept the wedding on a strict budget, relying on her sister's baking. "My sister baked the cake and we spent most of the money on barbecue," she said.

"We stayed true to our roots and made the focus on the family and my commitment to Sugar Bear. You can definitely plan an event on a budget!"

Shannon also left her daughters and women everywhere with sound advice on men.

"Never settle for a man who doesn't treat you right. If a guy doesn't love everything about you, move on!" She said. "There are plenty of other fish in the sea."

Shannon instilled in her children to always be themselves and be surrounded by people who will love them unconditionally, the Daily News reported.
