The next title in the "Batman: Arkham" franchise has officially been unveiled by Rocksteady Studios with the help of GameInformer.

"Batman: Arkham Knight" made its way onto the cover of GameInformer on Tuesday, but the title was leaked before the magazine's big reveal. Still, fans of the franchise can look forward to the installment coming to Sony's PlayStation 4, Microsoft's Xbox One and PC.

"Rocksteady Studios' Arkham Asylum innovated with the freeflow combat system and stalking gameplay in 2009, and the team blew it all out to an open world in 2011's Arkham City," GameInformer reports. "Rocksteady is hoping to raise the bar even higher on what will be its final Arkham game. Set after the events of Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Knight may just end the Dark Knight's journey."

Gamers can also get excited for the first appearance and use of the Caped Crusader's batmobile, redesigned by the Rocksteady team for "Batman: Arkham Knight."

"We're excited to be developing the game for next-gen platforms," game director Sefton Hill told The Guardian. "[It] has allowed us to bring to life the design elements that we envisioned from the beginning such as the Batmobile and how it augments Batman's abilities, to the fully detailed and realized Gotham City."

"Batman: Arkham Knight" is slated to launch in 2014, but Rocksteady has not confirmed a release date. You can check the game's official synopsis and trailer below:
