Miami (42-14) hasn't lost since Feb. 8 and head into Monday's contest looking to record their eighth straight win. The team is coming off a 112-98 win on Saturday against the Orlando Magic.
"Defensively we're flying around and we're communicating," Heat star LeBron James said, via ESPN. "And offensively, obviously we're playing at a high level."
While the Heat look poised for a deep run in the postseason, president Pat Riley warned fans the regular season isn't over yet.
"We're playing very well right now, but every day you keep ratcheting up what you need to do to get ready for what you know is going to be an incredibly competitive playoff," Riley said. "Right now, you have to keep in mind we have a long way to go."
Charlotte (27-32), meanwhile, hold onto the seventh playoff seed in the Eastern Conference despite losing two straight games. The Bobcats, who were on a four-game winning streak, lost to the San Antonio Spurs on Friday and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
"I think through three quarters we did a good job, but we came out in the fourth, and again, particularly when they brought their starters back, we just couldn't contain the ball and couldn't keep the ball out of the paint, which has been something we've been good at all years," said Bobcats coach Steve Clifford.
