Black celebrities are now being targeted by malicious YouTubers using AI-generated images. These YT channels are doing this to spread false rape and sex trafficking allegations against these popular people.

Dozens of YouTube accounts spreading AI-generated content spreading fake news about Black celebrities were analyzed. Based on a review, the malicious YouTuber channels are mostly posting clickbait videos.

This means that the content they publish has video thumbnails and titles that don't match the actual YouTube videos. Here are other details you need to know about this latest issue.

Black Celebs Targeted With Fake AI-Generated Images

According to NBC News' latest report, Black celebrities that are targeted by malicious YT influencers include TV host Steve Harvey, rapper Sean "Diddy Combs, as well as some Hollywood actors, such as Bishop T.D. Jakes and Denzel Washington.

Malicious YouTube channels are posting AI-generated images depicting these Black celebrities engaging in lewd acts, as well as showing exaggerated displays of emotion in YT video thumbnails.

Many of these YT content creators generate millions of views, leading to a combined median views of over 20 million. A YouTube spokesperson said that they are already aware of this AI-generated image issue.

The official added that they reviewed these YT channels and took a number of actions against those that were flagged. The YouTube spokesman said that three malicious channels were terminated for violating their Terms of Service.

Aside from this, additional YT channels were also removed from the platform's monetization program because of their actions against Black celebrities.

"YouTube's Community Guidelines set the rules of the road for what is and is not allowed on our platform, including content that contains targeted harassment or unwanted sexualization," said the YT official.

Before the news about Black celebrities being targeted by AI-generated images was confirmed, other popular people had already fallen victim to malicious actors who use artificial intelligence.

Recently, CNN Business reported that Taylor Swift also became a victim of AI-generated photos, which quickly spread on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms.

The American singer was depicted engaging in sexual activities, such as doing explicit intercourse positions, in fake images created using AI tools.

Thankfully, X and other major social media platforms took immediate action to prevent the further spread of AI-generated images of Taylor Swift.
